Over the next few days, players of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War may notice some frequent updates…hitting July 13 at 9 PM PT for players of the full game and July 14 at 9 PM PT for players of the Warzone spinoff. You’ll notice the return of a classic map and new modes in Cold War, a new objective mode in Warzone, and more Zombies-related content…all in prep for the launch of Season Four Reloaded on July 15.
The relaunch will introduce “Mauer Der Toten,” the latest chapter in the current Zombies storyline. According to developer Treyarch, the new map is the “next classic round-based Zombies experience where Requiem agents, currently working for Omega Group’s Colonel Kravchenko in a bid for their freedom, will explore war-torn Berlin after a zombie invasion has overtaken the city.” You’ll find brand-new enemies, more quests, a new Wonder Weapon with four unique variants, and if you can figure out how to activate him, a new robotic companion named Klaus.
Playstation players will receive a new Onslaught map based on the classic map Rush, a limited time mode called “Onslaught Accelerated,” and a LMG Weapon Blueprint, the “Chemtaminate,” which you can only get by surviving 20 accelerated Surge waves. Have fun with that!
Also look for the new multiplayer modes Capture the Flag and Paintball Moshpit, new playlists Rush 24/7 and Cranked Moshpit (a lot of moshpits in Call of Duty lately…is it 1997 again?), plus a fully restocked store with all-new item packs. All these things will become yours when Call Of Duty Black Ops Cold War reloads Season Four at 10 AM Pacific on July 15.
