Call of Duty 4 Remaster Getting Standalone Release
After constantly denying that the remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would see a standalone release, Activision has today confirmed the game will be available to buy individually from June. The digital and retail release will cost $40, making it not as expensive as a full release but still pricey, will be available on the PlayStation 4 first with other platforms set to follow shortly.
The remaster was previously only available to players who bought special editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. While there were constant rumors that the game would see its own release in the future, the publisher was quick to deny them. The game contains the entire campaign from the original title that has been upgraded with new visuals and audio in addition to a similarly enhanced multiplayer.
