BVS Actors Respond To Critics Negative Reviews
When a movie is divisive, it’s often because the movie does something pleases some people, but spurns other. Such seems to be the case with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. When reviews started pouring in, a majority of them were negative. Some even from major websites and publications. The fans responded in kind, giving it much more positive reviews, and blasting the critics who said BVS was “not fun”, “too dark”, and so on.
When asked about the negative reviews by Yahoo! Movies, Henry Cavill, who plays Superman, stated:
“What is really going to matter, I believe, is what the audience says,” Cavill told Yahoo! Movies. “Because they’re the ones who are buying tickets, they’re the ones who want to see more of this kind of story or not and so the audience’s voice is the loudest and after this weekend, the audience, at least partly, will have spoken.”
Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, added to his thoughts by noing:
“I know that Zack [Snyder] doesn’t make the movies—or none of us—are making the movies for the critics.”
“You can’t go into it with that perspective. I know we really hope the fans like it and so far the reaction has been really positive on that front,” the actress added.
This truly seems to be a movie where the best way to find out the “truth” is just to go see it yourself. Batman V Superman is in theaters now.
