The Boston Strangler, a notorious serial killer, instilled fear on the streets of Boston during the 1960s. He preyed on women who lived alone in their apartments, gaining entry and ultimately leading to their demise. The victims met their tragic fate in various ways, including strangulation with various objects such as stockings, bathrobes, and belts. Despite the similarities in these murders, the police initially believed they were unrelated.
This movie focuses on the investigative efforts of two women, Jean Cole and Loretta McLaughlin, as they attempt to uncover the truth behind one of the most disturbing true crime stories. Using meticulous research and interviews, they uncover evidence to unmask the culprit of the heinous crimes. The movie stars a talented cast including Keira Knightley, Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, and David Dastmalchian.Matt Ruskin, known for his previous works such as the award-winning documentary “The House I Live In” and the feature film “Crown Heights,” wrote and directed it.

Boston became a feared place back in the 1960s because 13 consecutive murders happened in a row. The Police are not able to connect it. Once thing is noticeable though, the victims trusted their killer enough to enter their apartment. The killer is Albert DeSalvo( David Dastmalchian)
He already had a history of violence but the investigators had a hard time to connect to all the murders. Jean Cole(Carrie Coon) and Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley) are two female journalist who have to deal with sexism of the time era. Despite of having all the disadvantages against them, they are the ones who will be able to reveal the identity of the Boston Strangler. You can watch the full story this coming March 17, 2023, only at Hulu in the US. It will be available in Disney Plus Outside countries with no Hulu.
