Bloodstained Crosses Over With Kingdom Two Crowns April 28
Kingdom Two Crowns, currently available on PS4, Switch, XBox One and PC, is coming to mobile platforms on April 28. That same day, a brand-new update called Dead Lands will hit all versions of the game….and launch a crossover with Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night!
You’re more likely to know what Bloodstained is than Kingdom Two Crowns, so allow me to explain: Kingdom is a strategy game, but a rather unique one. You’re the ruler of a medieval country, but you’re managing it on a 2D sidescrolling plane instead of overhead. This makes everything trickier, for you cannot be everywhere at once, even though you ride a fast horse.
You keep your subjects healthy and happy by tossing them gold as you ride past them. At night is when the thieves come out looking for that gold, and you must defend the kingdom and keep its citizens safe. Whenever you’re not doing either, you can explore the forests nearby for artifacts that will help you.
So here’s how Bloodstained factors into this: in the Dead Lands expansion, you’ll be given the ability to change the creature you ride (it doesn’t have to be a horse anymore) and also switch between four monarchs at once. They happen to be Bloodstained characters: heroine Miriam, demon hunter Zangetsu, summoner Gebel and alchemist Alfred. Each of them have unique abilities that will help you maintain your kingdom.
Kingdom Two Crowns: Dead Lands appears April 28, alongside the iOS and Android versions of Kingdom.
