FromSoftware and SCE Japan Studio have released the latest trailer for the upcoming action role-playing game Bloodborne. The “Undone by the Blood” trailer is available in the player below.
The latest videos offers more hints on the mystery behind the ancient city of Yharnam, a city that was overrun by a plague of beasts. The imagery and monsters from the game footage in the new trailer definitely look like the stuff of nightmares. At the same time, the footage gives the story this almost ethereal, elegant quality. It almost as if what is taking place is not truly real and is in itself like a personal nightmarish hell as well as a dream inside the mind of the Hunter protagonist. The moments at the end of the trailer are also very eerie. There is a clip of the Hunter character falling over in a field of flowers like he/she is passing out unconscious or to the Hunter’s eternal resting place. Then there is a shot of a baby carriage in what appears to be the dead city of Yharnam with a baby crying. It is definitely creepy and unsettling. Credit to the developers because that beat was about as scary as the other nightmare fuel from the rest of the trailer.
Bloodborne finally hits the shelves on March 24. The game will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
