Bleach is one of the most popular Shonen Anime of all time but it never had a proper ending. This Manga got a live action film adaptation and even videogames. Sadly, It got disappointingly non stellar ratings which leads to cancelation.
Why Bleach got cancelled?
The reason? The Anime studio got greedy and decided to fill the Anime series will fillers instead of adapting canon arcs in Manga only. Fillers worked for Naruto but some Anime titles got the kiss of death because of them.
The Manga was still selling well but tv shows ‘ rampant fillers made the Japanese Audience lose interest. It is kind of unfair for the international fans because Bleach has international success but Japanese ratings are more important for studios. You rarely see Anime titles aimed at global fans.
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Arc is finally animated after millions of fans begging for years.
Bleach fans have waited for nine years to see this story arc. Even though if I love Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, I do not want Bleach to go back to the start. It is a great decision to animate this long-awaited arc instead of going back from scratch. Fans are now going to continue Ichigo’s adventures on where they left off.
Bleach fans deserved to get the closure and finale they are robbed off.
Thousand-Year Blood War Arc has the most action scenes that can hype the audience of all the sagas of the series. Not only do we get to see Ichiro’s ultimate power, but We also get to see the support characters shine as well.
I remember nine years ago, Fans had mourned for the thought this finale will never be animated. I have nothing against fillers but I hope that the studio behind this will not repeat the same mistake of the past.
