Black Friday 2019: Wal-Mart’s Offerings
It took longer than usual, but we finally heard from Wal-Mart regarding their plans for Black Friday. They’re behind the other retailers in punctuality, so let’s see if they can make it up in deals.
in terms of consoles, the XBox is the only unique offering with a 1 TB XBox One S at $149 that includes digital download codes for Minecraft, Sea of Thieves and Fortnite (uh, that latter one is free already). The PS4 1 TB bundle with the three games that we saw the other sellers hawk? It’s here as well, and for the same price ($199). The Switch offering is also the same — the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle that was literally offered last year (it’s even the same model).
The video game rack at Wal-Mart isn’t always inspiring, but if the following games are in stock, you’ll be in luck: Call of Duty Modern Warfare is $38 (a deal that’s halfway between the Best Buy and Target sales). For $30 you can score Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ni No Kuni (Switch version), Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, Monster Hunter World, Need For Speed Heat, Gears 5, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Party, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Borderlands 3.
At just $25 are Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled, Spyro Trilogy, Plants vs. Zombies, Sekiro, Final Fantasy X/X2 (Switch), and Final Fantasy 12 (Switch). For just $20 you can get Mario & Rabbids, Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, Days Gone, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Jump Force….and at a low $15 are Crash Trilogy (PS4), Need For Speed Payback, Watch Dogs 2, and Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition (worth every cent).
Also, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade 1Up unit is $349. Yes, that’s on the expensive side, but we’re talking about the TMNT unit — it normally retails for $400 and it’s the only Arcade 1Up that has controls for four simultaneous players. As Mikey would put it, that’s radical.
