Bethesda Sought Advice From id Software For Fallout 4 Combat
With Fallout 4’s release coming ever closer, it seems that more and more information about the game is constantly being released to build up hype for one of the most anticipated games this year. The latest bit of news to come out of Bethesda might be one of the most significant aspects yet, as they have revealed that they have completely reworked their combat system for the upcoming RPG. Not only that, but they also got some help from another developer that is owned by Bethesda Softworks, id Software.
Speaking in the video, the studio speaks about they have turned to the legendary developer of games such as Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake for advice on how to create well designed shooting mechanics and gunplay. It makes sense considering the simplistic approach taking in previous Fallout games and the fact that the Elder Scrolls has no firearms at all. This is sure to be good news to fans who have asked for more sophisticated gunplay in Fallout games. Hopefully, id Software was able to pass on some of its knowledge to the Fallout team.
