Bayonetta 3 stars a younger Bayonetta?
Bayonetta 3 had a teaser back in 2018 but it confused the fans.
Bayonetta wears her classic outfit and she struggles fighting an unknown enemy. That teaser now makes sense with the actual trailer in Bayonetta 3. Fans are theorizing that the Classic version of her died. So who is the petite lady we see on the latest trailer? In the Trailer, Japanese military men were struggling to fight an entity that could be an Angel or Demon. The Angel slaying witch came to save the dead and apologized for being fashionably late. One thing you will notice in the trailer is that Bayonetta is younger and shorter. She is not the 300-year-old seductress witch we know.
The protagonist of Bayonetta 3 is Cereza! She is the little girl Bayonetta met in the first game. The girl thought Bayonetta is her Mummy and grown an attachment to her. Cereza is Bayonetta’s childhood self traveled to the future from the past. The protagonist of the 3rd game is an older Cereza in her late teens or early 20s. That is the reason she is not as tall and her face looks more youthful. This is how the game will be about Cereza’s transformation into Bayo. It is like a prequel and sequel at the same time. The older Cereza will try to save the older 300-year-old Bayonetta. She even has Cereza’s signature braid hairstyle.
This is a scene from the first game 9 years ago when the Umbran witch met Cereza.
Another proof that Little Cereza is the heroine of the 3rd game is the absence of the beauty mark on her face. Cereza doesn’t have a beauty mark on the lower left side of the lips. The Umbran Witch in the trailer also doesn’t have the beauty mark. Hideki Kamiya, the creator of Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, confirmed this sequel will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
