Batman v Superman Will Prove That Actions Have Consequences
Regarding Man of Steel, there were a lot of people who didn’t like certain aspects of the movie. Key among them being the epic, city-spanning smackdown between Zod and Superman. Many thought it was “uncharacteristic” that Superman would fight against Zod in a city full of people, while smashing into buildings and causing a lot of damage. After years of hearing about this, director of both Man of Steel and the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has spoken about how that scene and it’s consequences will be a focus in the upcoming film. He told Entertainment Weekly:
“I was surprised because that’s the thesis of Superman for me, that you can’t just have superheroes knock around and have there be no consequences,” Snyder said when asked about the movie’s destruction-heavy conclusion.
One of the consequences will be Batman because Ben Affleck has revealed a key motivation of Batman going after Superman:
“One of the things I liked was Zack’s idea of showing accountability and the consequences of violence and seeing that there are real people in those buildings. And in fact, one of those buildings was Bruce Wayne’s building so he knew people who died in that Black Zero event.”
Well, we all know Bruce Wayne does not deal with loss well. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive March 25th, 2016.
