Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady Studios released a new official TV spot this week for Batman Arkham Knight. You can check out the new video in the player below. Promotion and excitement is ramping up for the game, which is finally due out in less than two weeks after numerous delays.
The new video features highlights from the upcoming sequel, which is set to be the conclusion for Rocksteady’s highly acclaimed Batman: Arkham Trilogy. The video features music set to the track “Mercy” from Muse’s new studio album, Drones. Matt Bellamy stated the new record “explores the journey of a human: from abandonment and loss of hope, to indoctrination by the system to be a human drone, to eventual defection from the oppressors.” So the choice was made to use this song to promote Arkham Knight because the themes are reminiscent of The Dark Knight’s own journey.
Batman: Arkham Knight brings the award-winning Batman: Arkham trilogy from Rocksteady Studios to its epic conclusion. Developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PCs, Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile. The highly anticipated addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman: Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.
Batman Arkham Knight finally hits the shelves on June 23. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
