Batman Arkham Knight Delayed Until Later This June, New Gameplay Trailer Released
Time to get a little sad Batman fans. Batman: Arkham Knight has again been delayed. However, it is not for as big a delay as the original. A tweet from the official Arkham Knight Twitter account showcases the new release date, June 23rd.
It’s unclear at this time what the reasons for the delay were, though when Rocksteady is involved it’s most likely because they wish to ensure the game is perfect before releasing. Which was one of the reason the game went from an October 2014 release to June 2015.
As if to try and make a peace offering, the team at Rocksteady released a new gameplay video for Akham Knight titled “Officer Down”. In it, we got not only another good look at the game’s graphics, but a high-speed chase with the Batmobile, a typical (but oh so fun) interrogation with Batman on a Scarecrow thug, plus interactions with Jim Gordon and Barbara as Oracle. Despite the delay, this game continues to look and feel every bit as impressive as we want it to be.
This delay comes hot off the reveal of the Harley Quinn DLC being a prequel story to Arkham Knight. It makes you wonder if they’re refining not only it, but possibly other DLC parts that’ll add to the grandness of Arkham Knight.
Batman: Arkham Knight will release on June 23rd.
