Batman Arkham Knight 1960s TV Batmobile Skin and More Leaked by Online Retailer
As Joe Rogan has said before, “You can’t stop the internet.” Well, it seems Rocksteady Studios cannot prevent online retailers from revealing news, details, spoilers and secrets for Batman Arkham Knight. Last January, it seemed Amazon UK revealed what could be a major spoiler for the game. Now it seems New Zealand online retailer, Mighty Ape, has revealed some alternate skins for Batman and even the Batmobile in the game.
According to Mighty Ape’s online listing for the PlayStation 4 version of the Batman Arkham Knight Special Edition, Arkham Knight will feature three exclusive skins, including 60’s TV Batman, Batman 3000 and 60’s Batmobile. This seems to be confirmation that a skin of the 1960’s Batman TV series costume, most famously worn by actor Adam West, will be one of the alternate skins/costumes in the game.
In addition, based on the listing, an alternate skin of Batman 3000 from the Justice League 3000 series created by Keith Giffen, JM DeMatteis and Kevin Maguire. The comics features an alternate version of the Justice League from the year 3000. The redesign of Batman for the comic was handled by artist Kevin Porter.
The reveal by Mighty Ape does seem to reinforce the potential for more alternate Batmobile skins for the game. Previously, only an alternate prototype skin for the game’s new version of the Batmobile was revealed as a pre-order bonus. Perhaps, this is a sign that the Tim Burton 1989 Batman film version of the Dark Knight’s ride will also make an appearance as an alternate skin.
Batman Arkham Knight is scheduled for a June 2 release. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
