Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable Pegged For This Winter
Last December VR game developer UNIVRS promised a new virtual experience based around the world of Attack On Titan. They said they were aiming to have Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable ready to go this summer. It’s almost “this summer” and there’s no trace of the game, so your guess is correct — it’s been delayed. UNIVRS now estimates they should be able to get it finished by the winter. Whether that means a 2023 or 2024 release is up in the air.
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable casts you as a Scout Regiment facing down the moment of truth. Titans are approaching the city, and they’re as hungry as they are naked. This isn’t the final season where people can just turn into Titans themselves and whale on each other. This is the original premise where you’re a tasty speck who has to take down a giant by aiming for a small spot on its neck. You’ve got Omni Directional Gear to help you, but that’s about it. The rest depends on your skills.
“At UNIVRS, our mission is to create immersive experiences that were previously impossible due to this challengem” says Naoya Koji, COO at the company. “We believe that our technology has brought the ODM gear to life in VR. We hope that this game will deliver a realistic experience, enabling players to feel as if they’re using the actual gear for the first time.”
Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable will include both a single-player mode and a two-player co-op mode when it launches in six to nine months for Meta Quest and Meta Quest 2.
