Attack On Titan Final Season Part 3 Finally Launches
There’s drawn-out goodbyes, and then there’s Attack On Titan. What was billed as the “final season” by Studio MAPPA has ballooned into three now, with the third being the most unusual. Instead of a traditional batch of 24-minute episodes, AOT The Final Season Part Three will be released as two one-hour specials. The first of these premieres today.
It’s the final (?) confrontation between the crew and their former friend Eren, who has now joined the Titans and plans to destroy everything. He’s marching toward Marley with an army of muscular, gigantic humanoids, and it will take all the citizens to save the world now.
After these specials air, MAPPA swears this will really, truly be the end of Attack On Titan. Forgive us for being skeptical; we think they’ll find a way…maybe not a Final Season Part 4 but something else; a spinoff or a “next generation” series. Just watch.
And no, you weren’t just having Internet problems….the episode is late. Crunchyroll promised this special would be viewable on their app right after it finished airing in Japan, but hours went by after that with no sign of it. Fans got impatient; Crunchy wouldonly say the sub version needed a bit more work. They have not publicly revealed the reason for the delay, but it’s over now: as of 6 PM Eastern the special is live in the US.
You can currently see it exclusively on the Crunchyroll app, but it will also be viewable on Hulu very soon. And after this there will be a really, really final Attack On Titan Part 3 Special 2 that will definitely end the series. Maybe.
