Assassin’s Creed’s Altaïr follows in Felix Baumgartner’s footsteps
Felix Baumgartner is an Austrian skydiver, daredevil and BASE jumper, world renowned for the countless dangerous stunts he has performed throughout his career. He’s jumped from Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Towers to claim the world record for the highest parachute jump. He’s leapt from the outstretched hand of Cristo Redentor, the 98 foot-tall statue that looms over Rio de Janeiro, setting the record for lowest BASE jump in history, and two days ago he skydived to Earth from the stratosphere – falling 24 miles, reaching an approximate speed of 834 mph, and becoming the first human being to break the sound barrier outside of a vehicle.
Guess who’s next up to jump from the edge of space? Ubisoft’s Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad.
Tweeted by our friends at CVG, we came across this rather clever mock-up of the Syrian assassin performing Baumgartner’s out-of-this-world free fall:

Let’s hope there’s a hay bale down there big enough to cushion his landing!
Thanks for the laugh guys.

The irony of “footsteps”. Does this come with the season pass?
