Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed Syndicate that showcases new footage for the game’s two main characters, the twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye. You can check out the “Twin Assassins” video in the player below.
The video features narration from Jacob and Evie through some CG cinematics and cutscenes, highlighting the time of the Industrial Revolution in London, England, the time period of when the game is set. It looks like Jacob and Evie are Assassins who fight for the impoverished and downtrodden of London, as the upper-class takes advantage of the lower-class. This drives both Evie and Jacob to take over London by storm. New story information from Ubisoft also describes that “Jacob and Evie help define the birth of organized crime.” Jacob and Evie are both gang members and part of the criminal underbelly of London.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate hits the shelves on October 23. Obviously, a lot of attention will be on Ubisoft for this release after the problems that plagued Assassin’s Creed Unity at launch. Considering, Ubisoft believes it is necessary to release at least one new Assassin’s Creed game every year, there is always the concern that the next one will be rushed. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
