Assassin’s Creed III Special Editions Revealed
Details on Assassin’s Creed III’s inevitable special editions were leaked over the weekend by an online Italian retailer. Take a look below for more details.
First we have the Freedom Edition, which looks to be the most decked out of the group and the most expensive.
- It includes a high quality 24cm tall figure of main character Connor.
- A steelbook case designed by award-winning comic artist Alex Ross (which you can also get with a pre-order).
- George Washington’s Notebook which contains all manner of secrets regarding the actions of the Assassin’s and Templar’s during the Revolution.
- A special collector’s box.
- An exclusive lithograph.
- The Lost Mayan Ruins single player mission. Connor’s mission takes him to an ancient Mayan pyramid full of secrets. The player can unlock the legendary cutlass of Captain Kidd, a deadly, brutal and very beautiful piece of steel.
- The Ghost of War single player mission. This mission involves unlocking a special war club from Pontiac, a powerful Indian weapon.
- The Sharpshooter multiplayer package. It includes 1 new character, a relic, an emblem, a special picture and the caption “The Fool”.
Then we have the Join or Die Edition, the next in line.
- A high quality version of Connor’s Medallion.
- George Washington’s Notebook which contains all manner of secrets regarding the actions of the Assassin’s and Templar’s during the Revolution.
- A special collector’s box.

The final edition is unpictured and is simply called the “Special Edition”. Most likely it’ll be some form of pre-order upgrade that you’ll get for free by pre-ordering. It includes some special packaging and a single player mission that’ll allow you to unlock a flintlock rifle. All of it sounds pretty spiffy to me. What do you think?
