Ashwalkers Goes Physical On Switch
Publisher Dear Villagers and developer Nameless XIII introduced the survival sim Ashwalkers last spring, first on Steam and then on Switch. Set in a black and white, post-apocalyptic world, you control four explorers who call themselves The Section. The game was created by Hervé Bonin, co-founder of DONTNOD Entertainment (Life Is Strange).
The Section has just emerged from the underground home where their community has lived for 200 years. Your goal is to find a safe area above ground to restart society, but your immediate problem will be just staying alive. The events that caused this catastrophe may have been centuries ago, but the Earth is still feeling their effects. Ashwalkers also has a strong character-driven storyline and you’ll learn all about your four protagonists: “the brave captain of the group Petra, the pragmatic fighter Sinh, the young optimistic scholar Kali and the cautious scout Nadir.”
If you didn’t buy the game yet, and you prefer physical editions, the wait paid off: a physical edition of Ashwalkers has been announced for release this winter. It contains not just a physical copy of the game but an artbook and a sheet of character stickers. The physical title is Ashwalkers: Survivor’s Edition, and it comes in a collectors’ box.
