Check out the latest video evidence and news updates on the UFO field.
A new documentary is on the way from Small Town Monsters, the producers of docs centered around all sorts of legendary creatures — sasquatches, yetis, Mothmen and other hairy beasts. Lately, though, they’ve been turning their attention to the skies…On The Trail of UFOs, their most recent project, was released last year. Now that UFOs are in the public consciousness again thanks to recently declassified CIA reports, Small Town Monsters is back with a timely sequel.
UFOs! They’re out there….or not. Whether or not they’re real, America has had a long, long relationship with them (and we’re not just talking about the anal probe incidents). Small Town Monsters, makers of fine urban legend documentaries, explores the history of flying saucers and their followers in their latest doc, “On The Trail Of UFOs.”
Gillian Anderson is pretty much done with The X-Files, even if creator Chris Carter never will be. She told the press last October she was retiring from playing Dana Scully in TV shows and movies, and she hasn’t changed her mind. “I’ve said from the beginning this is it for me,” she told TV Line. “I was a bit surprised by people’s [shocked] reaction to my announcement…because my understanding was that this was a single season.”
It remains to be seen if 24: Legacy and the Prison Break revival will stick (the ratings numbers say they won’t), but Fox’s X-Files is the show that wouldn’t die. The show returned with six new episodes last year, and it’s just been given ten more. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will once again be back in black, investigating dangerous otherworldly phenomena while an ad-libbed government conspiracy continues to retcon itself.
