The talented cast of Everything All at Once reunites for American Born Chinese. Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, Stephanie Hsu, and James Hong take on new roles in the movie. The lead actor, Ben Wang, is fortunate to have such powerhouse actors in his support cast, including Michelle Yeoh, who is not only an Oscar and multi-award winner but also a legend in Hong Kong cinema. Ke Huy Quan, who was an iconic child actor in the 80s, is now an Oscar, Golden Globes, and Screen Actors Guild winner. James Hong, who has an impressive 650 credits to his name, continues to work at the age of 90.

Michelle Yeoh is also reuniting with her Crazy Rich Asians castmates Jimmy O Yang, Lisa Lu, and Ronny Chieng. Other stars joining the cast are
Hong Kong movie icon Daniel Wu and Rosalie Chiang, the lead actress of Turning Red.

American Born Chinese, a highly acclaimed graphic novel published in 2007. It is written by  Gene Luen Yang inspired from his experiences growing up as an Asian American.

Hollywood’s newfound inclusivity has made 2023 the perfect time for this adaptation. Tom Cruise and Scarlett Johansson would have played the lead roles if they had adapted it years ago.

Jin Wang (Ben Wang) balances two worlds, struggling to fit in at school as an Americanized teenager, while also trying to be as Chinese as possible at home to connect with his immigrant family. However, his life takes a wild turn when a foreign exchange student comes to his school. This student will unwittingly drag Jin into a battle between mythological gods, throwing him into a crazy roller coaster ride he never could have anticipated. The clash between worlds that Jin has been trying to balance suddenly becomes a matter of life and death, and he must navigate this dangerous new world to survive.
