Deep Silver Volition released a new trailer this week for the upcoming game, Agents of Mayhem, which is a fun takeoff of GI Joe and 1980s franchises. You can check out the amusing, new trailer in the player below.
If you like the Saints Row franchise, Agents of Mayhem is cut from a very similar cloth, and it’s basically set in the same universe. In the new trailer, the first three agents of MAYHEM try to drive home why they are the perfect team to be a Franchise Force. And Hollywood thinks of the agency as a group that needs to be marketed. So, Fortune and Hardtack are seen as potential driving forces behind the “franchise” that is Mayhem.
The new trailer shows off some new gameplay footage, including how agents can instantly teleport into and out of combat. Players can swap Agents in the field, while one can heal from wounds and damage in the mean time. Players can structure and customize their squad throughout the game.
The game looks like it has a fun, twisted sense of humor and a nice successor to the Saints Row series. Agents of Mayhem is due out later this year. It will be a single-player, third-person action game, and it’s due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on August 15.
