AEW Dynamite Now Airing Weekly On TNT
For the longest time, there were only two professional wrestling leagues: WWE and WCW. There have been halfhearted attempts to start a third (do I have to remind people ECW existed? I’d prefer not to), but nothing really clicked until 2018, when wrestlers Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) broke from wrestling promotion Ring of Honor to hold their own independent wrestling event, which they dubbed (at the time) All In.
The event was a success beyond their wildest expectations, and after gathering their friends together, they launched All Elite Wrestling, or AEW. An immediate success, and the first of its kind in twenty years, the program was picked up by TNT for telecast, and is now running its first season on the network.
Giving fans a new wrestling experience for the first time in 20 years, AEW: Dynamite offers fun, gripping and authentic athletic matches every week, along with real sports analytics. Founded by President and CEO Tony Khan, AEW is headlined by Cody & Brandi Rhodes, the inaugural AEW Men’s World Champion Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page.
AEW’s empire has only continued to expand since the launch of this series. The contract with TNT has been renewed through 2023, and a second weekly series is now in the works. In addition, you can watch AEW matches through their sister series on YouTube, AEW Dark. As for AEW Dynamite, it airs Wednesdays at 8 PM on TNT, with new episodes returning April 22.
