This weekend, new installments of Final Space and Birdgirl will premiere on Adult Swim. Here’s what to expect from each of ’em….
Tomorrow at 11:30, Final Space airs the latest episode of its tumultuous third season, which sees the crew exploring the titular Space that is Final for the first time. The dimension is fraught with danger, from godlike Titans to the warlord that gave them trouble in their home universe (he’s back). But Gary has his hands full just keeping his crew members alive. Last week he just barely resuscitated Quinn from a deadly poison, and THIS week he’s got to find a way to heal Bolo from a different infection altogether. Why won’t they stop getting sick?
Final Space is a serialized intergalactic space saga about an astronaut named Gary and his adorable, planet-destroying friend, Mooncake. Tune in for “The Chamber of Doubt,” when an infection grows within Bolo and the crew races to help before he’s lost to them forever.
Then on Sunday, a fresh episode of Birdgirl will air. Judy Ken Sebben has inherited control of her father’s company and now has her hands doubly full. But whatever Judy can’t handle, her perky alter-ego Birdgirl should be able to take care of….or make worse. Surprisingly, the show has focused much more on Judy’s business life than Birdgirl’s superheroics, with Judy usually only needing to suit up during the last five minutes when some gigantic monster appears. This coming episode, dealing with a branding crisis, is no exception.
From the world of Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law comes the new animated spin-off Birdgirl. Tune in for “Topple the Popple” to find out what happens when Judy updates a classic soda can and fans vow to destroy her.
New episodes of Final Space and Birdgirl will continue to air on Adult Swim in the coming weeks.
