Acute Misfortune Arrives On VOD November 3
Dark Star Pictures will soon be releasing the Australian biopic Acute Misfortune in the US. Both theatrical and digital releases are planned, though the “theatrical” releases will be virtual.
Acute Misfortune is the life story of the controversial and tortured Aussie artist Adam Cullen. The film is based on Erik Jensen’s award-winning biography of the man. Most yanks have never heard of him, but now you can learn a thing or two about foreign art.
Acute Misfortune stars Daniel Henshall (THE BABADOOK) as Cullen, and Toby Wallace (ROMPER STOMPER) as his boyfriend…and that’s about it. He lived a solitary life, which makes it easy for the casting department. The movie was directed by Thomas M. Wright.
Look for Acute Misfortune in select virtual theaters in LA and Cleveland this week….but if you don’t live in either of those cities, do you have to travel to Cleveland just to watch it on your laptop? Probably not; how will they know. If you can wait a month, Acute Misfortune will receive a regular VOD release on November 3.
Dark Star Pictures is proud to announce the theatrical and Digital release of the award-winning Australian biopic ACUTE MISFORTUNE. The film adaptation of Erik Jensen’s award-winning biography of Adam Cullen is the story of the biographer and his subject, as it descends into a dependent and abusive relationship.
