Hamster Co. officially announced today that a classic SNK game is getting re-released with a fresh coat of paint. ACA NEOGEO Sengoku 2 is now available for as a digital release for PlayStation 4. The original Sengoku 2 was a side-scrolling action game released by SNK in 1993.
ACA NEOGEO has been re-releasing a lot of the classic NEOGEO titles for the current console generations, which is nice. So, it’s nice to see an underrated game like Sengoku 2 get a re-release. In the game, players take on the role of a warrior who was summoned by a shrine princess. Players will then get to fight over various historical periods in order to defeat an evil monarch.
Additionally, the ACA NEOGEO version will allow players to adjust the game setting and reproduce the atmosphere of the original with the arcade display settings that were available at the time of the initial release. Players will also be able to compete with other games from all over the world for the high score on the leaderboards.
The re-release also includes some new tactical features such as charge attacks and defensive abilities. ACA NEOGEO Sengoku 2 is available for the PlayStation 4. It was previously released for the Xbox One. It’s priced at $7.99, which is pretty reasonable for a classic game.
