ABBA will make a comeback as Holograms
ABBA released a new single after decades of being disbanded.
ABBA members Benny, Agnetha, Frida, and Bjorn will tour as Holograms to promote their new album.
ABBA is a band my mom listens to when she was a teenager but their songs are timeless. You can still hear their songs on the radio and other forms of media. This Swedish band is the most successful Eurovision winner before Celine Dion. Every song from the Musical films Mamma Mia! is a cover of their songs. Now they are having a comeback but with their age, they are at risk with the Pandemic. So they use a technology that is usually associated with Singers who passed away and Hatsune Miku! This is truly outrageous because they will be using Holograms of them.
These ABBAtars (pun intended) are CGI models that captured their looks in their prime.
This is ABBA’s new song after so many years apart.
Benny and Frida, Agnetha, and Bjorn use to be married and both marriages end in divorce. Holograms doing the touring for them will be better for them. Frida is currently to a Prince. Living Musicians touring as Holograms reminds me of this Black Mirror Episode:
I believe this could be the future of Music. Many Musical artists suffered from exhaustion, depression, and fatigue because of touring around the world. Touring around the US is already mentally draining. Singers had succumbed to drug addiction due to the burnout they experience from touring. Holograms are originally intended to bring Elvis or Michael Jackson back to life. Now it could be used to keep musical artists safe from the Pandemic. Botox or Plastic surgery won’t be needed to keep an artist young. A little Hologram can fix that up.
Agnetha and Frida looks they are still on their 20s on this screenshot of the Hologram.
