Roguelike Deck-Builder Zet Zillions Coming In 2024

Indie developer OTA IMON Studios and publisher Raw Fury have announced Zet Zillions, a single-player, story-based roguelike deck-builder set in space. OTA IMON and Raw Fury previously collaborated on the mecha RPG Wolfstride,

Earth is wrecked, and you’re the leader of a starship full of Earthling refugees searching for a new home. But there’s a lot in your way! You’ll frequently have to do battle with massive cosmic enemies who hate you on sight and feel like annihilating you. The only way to prevent them from doing that is to win in battle, which is controlled through cards. “You’ll need to combine and transform your cards to survive against space’s baddest enemies, conducting freakish experiments to unlock the full power of your deck,” says OTA. “Zet Zillions features fast-paced and satisfying card battles, paired with an epic story with colorful art style, animations and voice-over.”

  • EXPLORE! Discover randomly generated galaxies with vast maps and thrilling locations.
  • BATTLE! Build a synergized deck, buy equipment and upgrades, and fight COLOSSAL enemies as big as STARS in challenging card-based encounters.
  • SECRETS! Collect and combine cards to make your deck even more powerful. Experience an action-packed story complete with multiple endings and high-energy animations and voice-over.

Zet Zillions won’t be released until an unspecified time in 2024, but you can wishlist the game today on Steam. If you’d like the chance to playtest an early build, you can request access through the Steam page, but only for a limited time.

Intriguing concept, but I've been burned by early access games before. I'll keep an eye on Zet Zillions, but I won't get too excited until there's more information. The idea of a roguelike deck-builder in space is cool, but execution is key. Fingers crossed for a polished release in 2024.

Finally, a game that combines strategy with a gripping space narrative! The notion of transforming cards in the heat of cosmic battles adds a strategic layer that's right up my alley. I'm hoping the game lives up to the promise of an epic story and challenging encounters. This could be the perfect blend of my favorite genres.

So, a space-themed deck-building game, huh? Sounds interesting. I appreciate the randomness of the generated galaxies and the promise of diverse locations. Wonder how they'll make each playthrough unique. The promise of a colorful art style and high-energy animations has me hooked already! Even if the gameplay doesn't blow me away, I'm a sucker for visually appealing games. Can't wait to see the design choices they've made in bringing this cosmic adventure to life.
